The Department of Statistics, Moridhal College was established in 2006. In the same year the secondary and the general courses of under graduate level was introduced in 2009. The major course was started from the session 2009-10. The department has got govt. concurrence in 19th May 2009; it got permission of Dibrugarh University in 7th July 2010 for both Major and General Courses.

Facilities:

Departmental Library and practical sheets ;
Academic and career counseling to the students;
Guidance to both advance and poor learners;
Remedial coaching for the poor students;
For intellectual development of the students

Activities:

Besides doing regular classes, the department has also all the practical classes in stipulated time;
The department has arranged seminar and group discussions in time among students to enhance their mental ability and to face the present situation;
Cluster counseling for the students;
The faculty members of the department, also actively involved in different non-scholastic activities of the college;
All the faculty members provide special guidance to the advance learner in additional to remedial classes for the poor students;
The faculty members of the department are in regular contact with the students;
For skilled development the faculty members of the department attain conferences, Seminars, Workshops etc. on a regular basis.
