Department of Mathematics, Moridhal College, is renowned for its commitment to excellence in education and its dedication
to nurturing mathematical talent. The department was established in 1988 with commencement of Secondary level of education in Mathematics. General undergraduate course
was introduced in 1992. Major course in Mathematics was introduced in 1997. The Department received University permission / affiliation of general course on 21-02-1995
w.e.f. 1993-94 and that of major course on 26.08.2000 w.e.f. 1997-98. The Department also teaches Higher Secondary students having Mathematics as a subject and also
supports students of other departments opting for Mathematics as a subject. Post Graduation course in Mathematics was introduced in 2023.
Maximum intake of students: B.A./B.Sc. : 40 M.A./M.Sc. : 25
The department boasts a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are not only experts in their respective fields but also passionate
about imparting knowledge. With a good library and well-equipped laboratory, students have access to the tools and resources necessary to explore the depths
of mathematics. Besides providing academic and career counselling to the students, it provides guidance to both advance and poor learners. It also provides
financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students to buy books.
Department publishes an annual Wall Magazine 'SIGMA' and also celebrates being the "Best Department of Moridhal College" in the year 2021-2022.
Our Vision: We look forward to being the mathematical hub in Dhemaji and the neighbouring districts of Dhemaji, with state-of-the-art facilities in the
Department by imparting quality education and producing excellent human beings serving the nation.
Our Mission: To inspire local people to walk with pace with the changing world.
