Moridhal College Library plays a pivotal role in catering the needs of the students, teachers and willing Public. It is a resourceful library having unique collections, mainly in the fields of Assamese Literature, Hindi Literature, English Literature, Economics, History, Mult-Volumes, Anthropology, Linguistics, Mathematics, Political Science, Sociology, Philosophy and Religion and other Science Subjects. Now it has a collection of more than Twenty One thousand documents. The College library occupies about 5,000 square feet of total carpet area with spacious stack-rooms, reference section, reading room and study room for students and teachers. It has separate Periodicals and Reference section in the ground floor along with administrative wings including- Acquisition section, Circulation counter, Reading room and Stack-room for books.
The library has Card Catalogue System, based on AACR II and Dewey Classification System (DDC) (22nd Edn).
Now the Library operates its day to day works fully Coputerised using SOUL Software provided by INFLIBNET. The LAN has been set up in the Library with five computers and OPAC facility is given to its users. The library is also getting a free full text access to the E-resources under 'UGC Infonet E-Journal Consortium' and N-LIST by which we can provide e-books, e-journals, e-thesis to our teachers and students. Details are given in the E-Resource page. The library has 24x7 hour internet facilities with a V-SAT connection. Library also provides free Internet to its students and teachers.
